Hi, Booker! Tell me a little bit about what you do at CenTex Insurance Solutions and what kind of services your company offers.
I am the Owner Principal Agent at Centex Insurance Solutions. We are an Independent Insurance Agency representing many different A+ rated carriers. We focus on fulfilling insurance needs ranging from personal home, auto and life insurance to many commercial line business needs.
How did you get into your current career?
After resigning from my corporate job 7 years ago, I decided to take a leap of faith by pursuing my passion of working with individuals, families, and business owners on building foundations of financial security. The goal is to help our clients remain solvent in the event of an unforeseen loss or disaster.
What can people expect from meeting with you?
Our goal is to educate and service the Round Rock community and throughout the state of Texas. Through our independence, we strive to educate the community on the best options for their insurance needs by working with our variety of carriers and brokers. We can provide an assessment of your insurance gaps or opportunities with a choice of offerings that best fits your family or business needs.
What is something about your business that most people don’t know?
There are obvious variables that factor into an individual’s rate that they pay on their monthly premiums. One variable many do not realize is that your credit is a factor too. Just as you have a financial credit score, your credit-based insurance score is a statistical tool that predicts the likelihood of your filing a claim and the likely cost of that claim. This is considered your insurance credit score.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
There is a fast-changing risk landscape within the industry that is creating new risk that remain largely uninsured. I see Centex Insurance Solutions continuing to build relations with carriers looking to further expand their offerings in efforts of accommodating. Additionally, we want to continue to grow a robust CRM system as consumers continue to change the way they shop for insurance in general.
What about your job inspires you?
The two things that continue to inspire us, is finding the most comprehensive and competitive coverage for our commercial clients as well as being able to educate our personal lines clients on ways to protect their families.
Give us a little background on yourself. (where are you from, family, education, hobbies, etc…)
I was born and raised in Austin, TX and have lived in Round Rock for a total of 12 years where my wife, Natalie, and I both work, worship, and raise our 3 kids. I received my BA in Business from Concordia University TX. I enjoy spending time with family, coaching my kid’s activities as well as volunteering time. I also serve on the board and mentor with RBI Austin, where we engage and develop inner-city Austin youth athletically, academically, and spiritually in east and northeast Austin, where I was raised.
Other than work, what inspires you?
Looking for new opportunities to elevate my family as well as surrounding myself with good people that will continue to challenge and inspire me to be a better husband, father, businessman and leader.
Why did you choose Heritage Office Suites? How has Heritage Office Suites helped your motivation/productivity, or how has it helped your business grow?
I originally found Heritage Office Suites as a temporarily space as we transitioned form our previous location. Once we exhausted our initial lease, we decided to come back. We were looking for a more intimate working space that continued to be in a neutral site for our clients in Round Rock and surrounding areas.
